Integrative, Evidence-Based Approaches to Mental Health Care

At Inspired Minds Wellness Centre, the therapeutic approaches we use are grounded in research, shaped by clinical expertise and tailored to each individual. We recognize that no single method works for everyone. Instead, we take an integrative, client-centred approach that blends evidence-based techniques to support awareness, emotional regulation and well-being.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, emotional dysregulation or other concerns, our goal is to provide approaches that are practical, effective and supportive of long-term wellness. Services are available in person at our Calgary and Lethbridge offices, with select virtual options across Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.

Our Core Therapeutic Approaches

Below is a brief overview of the primary modalities used within our practice. Your therapist may integrate several approaches based on your goals, preferences, and needs.

Therapeutic Services
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT is an evidence-based approach that combines behavioural science, contemplative practice and dialectical principles. It helps individuals regulate emotions, strengthen coping skills and build healthier relationships. DBT has demonstrated effectiveness for emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, substance use concerns and traits of borderline personality disorder.
Our DBT services include components such as individual therapy, skills groups, consultation teams and between-session coaching, helping clients apply mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills in daily life.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy focused on identifying and changing unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns. It supports improved coping, clarity and functioning through tools such as cognitive restructuring, behavioural activation and problem solving.
CBT is effective for anxiety, depression, stress, sleep difficulties and a wide range of everyday emotional and behavioural concerns.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART is an evidence-based psychotherapy that helps reprocess distressing memories so they no longer trigger strong emotional or physical reactions. Through guided imagery and eye movements, ART can help reduce symptoms connected to trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias and other triggers.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that supports the processing and integration of difficult memories. By using bilateral stimulation and guided reprocessing, EMDR helps reduce emotional intensity, improve stability and support long-term resilience.
